Councillor Paul Tully represents Division 2 of the City of Ipswich.  Division 2 is 27.37 square km in area and comprises the suburbs of Goodna, Gailes, Camira, Bellbird Park, Augustine Heights and Redbank, all part of the Greater Goodna area.

Councillor Tully was first elected on 31 March 1979 as the youngest Alderman* of the Ipswich City Council in the city's history since 1860.  He is currently the longest-serving Councillor of Ipswich in the city's 148-year history.

Icc Crest SmHe was last re-elected on 15 March 2008 with 87% of the vote in Division 2 and is now Queensland's longest-serving City Councillor.

In 2007, Councillor Tully equalled the record of his great uncle Alderman Alfred Tully Stephenson, who was Ipswich's previous longest-serving municipal representative over a 28-year period from 1910-1938.

Councillor Tully holds a Law degree from The University of Queensland.  He is a registered Migration Agenty and is a Justice of the Peace (Qualified).  He lives at Goodna with his wife and two children.


* The title of "Alderman" was replaced with "Councillor" under the Local Government Act 1993.
